IT ALL COMES DOWN TO CHOICE...

Image
Everything comes down to choice. From the most basic choices to 'Do I get out of bed' or 'Do I stay snuggled and read all day.' Some factors come to the fore. Do I have to work? Is it a weekend/ day off? Simple choices like 'what shall I wear today?'  Once again, what we are doing does come into play. When I'm home I'm a slob. Jeans or trackies all day. Work is another matter...and once again it's choice. Do I want to wear a dress, some colour, all in black and an amazing piece of glitter?  What shoe to wear?  Boring flats for work alas (too old to be on my feet in heels all day) What do I have for lunch? Take something from home, buy something while out? Every little thing is a choice. Do I walk this way or take that path? Do I sit and veg out or clean the house? Do I put on the washing or finish reading this chapter? What colour icing will I make? Where do I put green/ purple/ orange? So many choices we make each a...

BLANK PAGES....

Seems that I blinked and somehow January is behind us and we are heading off into February. Second month of the year. One twelfth of the year gone and dusted...can't take it back...can't change it. I don't know what's worse, the actual moving, or the packing up of everything. But it becomes one of life's facts-----one day you will have to move. You will have to look at ALL of your belongings and ask 'do I need all this?' The answer of course is no...but....yes we have that 'but I may use it one day'...or 'surely it will come back in fashion'....or 'one of the kids will use that racket/scuba gear/ trampoline/ golf set some day'. Chances are, no they won't. But the human race are known hoarders. We keep everything.  Sometimes it's for sentimental reasons, sometimes it's because we fear we may never find that exact thing again (as if we really need a violet foot stool with lion feet---and no I don't). Sometimes we collect things to fill an emptiness inside, or because we ...
